A Blue Christmas Service
A Community Service at Christmas for those who are grieving, praying, healing, hoping, or alone.
December 22, 2018, 9:00 A.M.
For many who are alone or who have lost a loved one, the Holidays can be a time of deep loneliness. For others who have lost a relationship, health, a job, or had a financial setback it may be a time of pain, confusion or fear. It is not a joyous season for everyone.
Remembering is a huge part of our faith. So while we can’t change the past, we have incredible power to change how we remember. Join us this Christmas Season for a discussion on Grief Recovery and learn how to move from having sad, distressing or conflicted memories to having memories of delight and thanksgiving.
The discussion, starting at 9:00 AM on Saturday, December 22nd, will be led by therapists Jim Sheffield (St. Patrick’s, Albany) and Linda Kidd (Calvary). The discussion will be followed at 11:00 AM by A Blue Christmas Service, a spiritually moving and powerful service for those suffering from loss, pain or stress.
Refreshments will be served at 8:30 and lunch will follow the service.
This workshop is open to the Community. Participants may attend either one or both events. Please invite others who may be grieving at this time.
